Here’s a Work on Words activity I’ll use this week. Our phonics skill is /oa/ and /ow/ words. I think my boys will like it…maybe some of my girls too. They match the words to the correct goal post.

Remember when Sally Fields said that at the Oscars…wait there I go showing my age again.

Seven Things About Me:
1. I am a book hoarder…seriously they should do a show about me.
2. I am a closeted Romance Writer…I even have a finished manuscript but I’m too chicken to submit it. I am a member of Romance Writers of America. I have tons of ideas and partially finished manuscripts. I usually put 95% focus on my writing during the summer…and I always write for an hour everyday…no matter what.
3. I love to cook…gourmet meals are my specialty and I never fully follow a recipe…I’m always adding something to make it my own.
5. My brother Ibreheim was on the show Survivor. Here’s a picture of him. That’s his girlfriend in the pic with him.
6. My sister-in-law Elizabeth Mathis was in the Denzel Movie: Unstoppable. Here’s a picture of her. That’s her husband, my brother Isa, standing next to her.
At my house for Thanksgiving
*5 and 6 weren’t really about me but hey…I’m proud of them.
7. I love old movies: My Man Godfry, all The Thin Man movies, You Can’t Take It With You, anything with Joan Crawford…but Mildred Pierce is my absolute favorite.

The Dot
