We started money this week, and here’s a money book we made on Monday. The students keep these inside their work folders. We will refer to them often during our unit. A K teacher friend gave me a copy of the poems…not sure where she got them from. But the first two pages are for the mini book…it’s just copy paper cut in half the long way. The rest of the sheets are coins pictures and poems. I made each into a 8.5 by 11 mini poster. They are hanging on our calendar board.

My students loved a rap from youtube during our coin unit. Check it out, its called Coins In My Hands. They LOVED it. If you cannot access youtube at school, do it at home and use kickyoutube.com.
