This game is played like regular Go Fish, students deal cards then try to find matches for their contractions.

This week we finished the last story in Reading Street. I’ll post the final Lit Pack on Monday…I forgot to transfer it to my jump drive from my computer at school.

Some people may be wondering, “What the heck is she going to do until the end of school?” Well, I’m glad you asked.

For the past three years during the last three-four weeks of school I love doing units of study from this book. I usually do the reading units on Character Studies and Non-Fiction. There’s one for each grade, K-5th.  I use the K, 1st and 2nd grade books interchangeably depending on the type of class I have for the year. I LOVE them! You should check them. Crash

Here is a quick and easy game I’m planning for math stations this week. This game isn’t new, I’ve seen it everywhere. This is just my version.

I want to keep addition and subtraction facts in front of my kids all the time. This is the addition version. I got a little punch drunk towards the end…so if you see errors…I’ll apologize up front. Enjoy!

Bingo Games

 

Here are a few bingo games we play whole group, usually on Fridays. I’ll put several out and divide the students into small groups of four to five students. We set a timer and they rotate through all the games. It’s a good review of past skills or current ones.

The downloads are the directions and cover and the second downloads are the actual bingo boards. Above is a picture of how I store the games.

Halloween Stations

Our class celebrated Halloween on Thursday. We were out today for a Fall Break. We had several stations set up around the room. This group is playing Fall Fun Bingo. They are using candy corn as playing pieces.

 
These students are writing Jack-o-Lantern stories. I found kits at Hobby Lobby. The students enjoyed assembling them. Their writing turned out great.

 
My aunt is in Clown College, and this year she came by to do face painting with my students. They had a ball!
